Sunday 21st September
9.30-15.00 Pick up from Darling Harbour. Journey to Botany Bay & La Perouse - the landing place of Captain James Cook, 1770. Initial landing place of the First Fleet under Captain Arthur Phillip in 1788. Also the first landing place of the French under Jean-Francois La Perouse in 1788. Plus a tour of the 1886 Bare Island Fort, then a 'fish and chip' lunch. Inspection of the La Perouse Museum (erected in 1882 as a Customs House). Finally inspect the Watch Tower, French Maritime Monument, and 1788 French Priest Grave.
